Books

The following is a list of books that I have found interesting or helpful for some reason (in no particular order)

Non-fiction

The Artist's Way - Cameron, Julia
Highly Recommended - 12 week course in "discovering and recovering your Creative Self". WARNING - May do serious damage to your creative blocks!

Impro - Johnstone, Keith
Seminal work on creativity.

Story - McKee, Robert
A tome of a book but worth the read. Philosophical, historical and practical guide to screen-writing but may also be of use to other forms of creative writing.

Save the Cat - Blake Snyder
A structured approach to screen-writing. If McKee's "Story" gives you the principles then this book gives you a simple structure to apply them to.  Easy, entertaining read.

Through the Body - Dymphna Callery
A primer for Physical Theatre. A secondary text to a subject that has no definitive primary text.

A woman in your own right - Dickson, Anne
Enlightening book on communication and helpful for more assertive living. Female-focused.

Theatre of the Oppressed - Boal, Augusto

Games for Actors and Non-Actors - Boal, Augusto
